Wedding card reveals Shahid-Mira to marry in Gurgaon on July 7

Shahid Kapoor’s wedding to Delhi-based Mira Rajput has been the talk of the town for some time now. From the grand bachelor’s party, wedding venue and date – all have been discussed in the media at length.

It is revealed now that Shahid and Mira will tie the celestial knot on July 7. According to an image of a wedding invitation card of the duo which has gone viral on the social media, the wedding will take place at Oberoi Hotel in Gurgaon.

The bride’s parents Bela and Vikramaditya Rajput and the actor’s parents Neelima Azim and Pankaj Kapur and step-mom Supriya Pathak have their names on the card. There is also a messege written at the bottom of the card saying, “No gifts please, Blessings only.”

The alliance was arranged by the parents of Shahid and Mira who are members of the religious organisation Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Both of them got engaged earlier this year.

Kolkata-based fashion designer Anamika Khanna has designed the wedding outfit for Mira while Shahid will be dressed in a bandhgala achkan by Mumbai based designer Kunal Rawal. It is also being heard that the bride and groom will wear outfits in matching colours.

Earlier, speculations were rife that designer Masaba Gupta, who is the wife of the actor’s close friend Madhu Mantena, will be designing the wedding couture of Shahid and Mira. The location of the ceremony was rumoured to be in Amritsar on the banks of river Beas.

However, Shahid may not be able to take a break immediately after his marriage. The ‘Haider’ actor has also cancelled his bachelor bash in Greece as he was busy with his projects. The newly-weds may have a belated honeymoon as Shahid would be busy shooting for his television debut as judge for reality show ‘Jhalak Reloaded ’.
