Viju Khote’s funeral: Arshad Warsi, sister Shubha, friends, family bid tearful adieu
Viju Khote passed away on September 30th at the age of 77 and friends and family bade teardul good-bye to the departed soul. The funeral took place at Marine Lines, Mumbai on Monday afternoon and it was attended by his actor sister Shubha Khote and her actor daughter Bhavana Balsavar among others.
The actor died in his sleep at his residence due to multiple organ failure. “He passed away today at 6.55 am peacefully in his sleep at the residence. He has been unwell for quite some time. He had multiple organ failure,” actor Bhavana Balsavar, his niece, told PTI.
Bollywood celebrities took to their social media account to pay heartfelt tribute to the versatile actor.
Priyanka Chopra remembers Viju Khote as a fantastic artiste and an incredible person. "He was not just a fantastic actor, but an incredible human being and professional to the hilt. Someone who always had a smile on his face and always would make other people smile. And that was his quest when he came on set. It's a big loss for Indian cinema," Chopra told PTI.
Khote will be best remembered known for iconic roles in films like Sholay and Andaz Apna Apna. He acted in many TV soaps, movies as well in ads.
