Shahid’s father Pankaj speaks about Mira Rajput’s acting career

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his beautiful wife Mira Rajput are one of the most adorable couples of Bollywood. Last year, when Mira was spotted with choreographer Bosco Martis, rumour mills were abuzz that she would be making her acting debut soon.

It was said that Mira would debut with her husband Shahid in his film ‘AK vs SK’. However, the ‘Haider’ actor had rubbished those rumours saying, "I am loving all the stuff that I have been reading everywhere. Mira is my wife, she is not an actress."

But now Shahid's father Pankaj Kapur has opened up about his daughter-in-law making her move to films and said he will support Mira’s choice regardless of what she opts for.

"It is her life. She can do what she wants to do. Why should I have anything to do with that? It is between her and her husband. She is a child to me. Why would I have any objections? For me, she can do what she wants to do and I am there to support," Pankaj said in an interview with IANS.

The veteran actor also confessed that the mention of the word daughter-in-law makes him uncomfortable.  "My children can do what they want to do. When it comes to this whole category of daughter-in-law, I get a little uncomfortable as I treat her like my daughter," Pankaj added.

Meanwhile, Shahid is working for Vishal Bhardwaj’s period film ‘Rangoon’ which also stars Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan. He will also be seen in upcoming thriller opposite his ‘Shaandaar’ co-star Alia Bhatt which also stars his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor.
