‘Sarkar 3’ trailer: Big B is angrier, dangerous like a ‘wounded lion’

The trailer of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar 3’, the third instalment in the political thriller franchise, was launched at an event in Mumbai on Wednesday evening. RGV, Amitabh Bachchan and Rohini Hattangadi, who reprise their roles from the previous films, along with new entrants Amit Sadh, Yami Gautam and Jackie Shroff were present at the launch. ‘Sarkar 3’ also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Ronit Roy.

The trailer has been exclusively released on the website of Eros Now. The story of ‘Sarkar 3’ follows Big B’s character Subhash Nagre after the death of both his sons Vishnu (Kay Kay Menon) and Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan).

Subhash Nagre aka Sarkar is angrier than ever, dangerous as a ‘wounded lion’ after the death of Shankar and Vishnu, whose brief glimpses are seen in the beginning of the trailer. Amit Sadh plays Shivaji, Sarkar’s grandson, but he is not at all like his father Shankar. Ronit Roy plays Sarkar’s close aide, while Jackie plays the antagonist Michael Vallya. Manoj Bajpayee, who worked with RGV in 1998 film ‘Satya’ has teamed up with the director after almost two decades. He plays Govind Deshpande, a rebel. The trailer also shows Yami as the betrayer Anu, as well as Supriya Pathak.

The two-minute-forty-five-second trailer is gripping with its action sequences and intense dialogues.

RGV shared the link of the trailer on his Twitter timeline.

Earlier in the day, he also announced the time of trailer launch with the poster of ‘Sarkar 3’ tweeting, “SARKAR 3 trailer to release today March 1st at 5 pm.”

‘Sarkar 3’ is scheduled to hit the screens on April 7.
