RGV slammed for inappropriate post on Sania Mirza

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is infamous for making controversial statements on social media, continues to make provocative remarks even after quitting Twitter. The ‘Sarkar’ director recently faced severe backlash after posting an inappropriate picture of tennis star Sania Mirza and comparing her with his maiden short film ‘Meri Beti Sunny Leone Banna Chaahti Hai’ on Instagram.

RGV posted a picture of Sania during a game, which was taken from an inappropriate angle that it revealed her shorts beneath her skirt. With the picture, he wrote a message saying that the subject of his short film, former adult actress Sunny Leone, reminded a girl of the tennis player.

“A girl told someone, MBSLBCI reminded her of, though she was very good at Tennis her father refused to permit her to play beyond an age because she will have to wear skirts. The film is about exposing these regressive minds who use a girl’s sexuality against herself,” RGV wrote.

RGV’s intention might be to promote his first short film, but his remark didn’t go down well with people who slammed him for it. Following are some of the reactions on his Instagram post:

* you would be a good film maker but I have doubt how good you would be a father and human being.

* Why do people like amitji and other big stars work in his films when they know what he endorses and his mindset

*This post is so shame. This guy doesn't deserve to make films for women.

*well shame on u ramu kaka.u mindset is lower than a sevant too

* @rgvzoomin sir it's time for you to start directing porn movies and u be the leading role too

*Don't be stupid. Don't objectify women. Use your brain
