Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha share a cold war on Bhuj set

It is learnt that Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha shared a cold vibes on the set of ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’. An insider revealed, "The cold war started when Parineeti learnt that Sonakshi has been telling everyone that she plays the female lead in the movie." The ‘Kesari’ actress turned furious with Sonakshi and she even complained to the production team.

‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ will see Sonakshi essaying the role of Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a social worker who convinced the local women to help rebuild the only runway in Bhuj, destroyed by the Pakistani army during the war. Meanwhile, Parineeti will be seen playing the role of Heena Rehman, an undercover Indian agent in Lahore.

"Parineeti feels that her and Sonakshi's role is equal and both have a meaty part to play. Hence it is unfair for Sonakshi to proclaim that she is the leading lady of the movie. This has created an issue between the two actresses, who refuse to speak to each other," another source informed.

‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ written and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya features Ajay Devgn as Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj airbase in Gujarat during the India-Pakistan war of 1971. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, and Ammy Virk in pivotal roles.

‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vajir Singh, Ginny Khanuja, Abhishek Dudhaiya and Kumar Mangat Pathak. The film is slated to hit theatres on August 14, 2020.
