Kushal Tandon to debut in 'Romila' opposite Mugdha Godse

Model-turned television actor Kushal Tandon will make his Bollywood debut in ‘Romila’ opposite Mugdha Godse, who stepped into Bollywood with Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’ in 2008.

Kushal, who shot to fame after his stint in reality show ‘Big Boss’ season 7, had made the announcement recently after signing his first film. ““??sined my first Bollywood movie ....... Beautiful script .... Kushalians u wil get news in a day or two til then ??????” Kushal posted on Twitter.

Revealing about his character, the 30-year-old actor said he plays an aspiring rockstar from northern part of India who comes to Goa to realise his dreams where he meets Romila.

Mugdha, who plays the title role of Romila said about her character in the film, “I play a Bengali woman in the film. I am playing a woman of today who is bold and empowering.”

The model-turned-actress, whose career didn’t take off too well in the industry post ‘Fashion’, is seeking to revive her career in Bollywood with the film.

‘Romila’ is said to be an erotic thriller. The film will be directed by Jaswant Khera and will extensively be shot in Goa.

Both Kushal and Mugdha visited the Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha for the success of their film.

Mugdha who plays a Bengali woman in the film, dressed in a Bengali get-up with a red-bordered white saree and big earrings, to highlight her character.

Kushal had earlier worked in the television series ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’, which was aired on Star Plus.

Mugdha Godse had also appeared in small roles in films like ‘Jail’, ‘Heroine’, ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’, but never in a lead role. Her upcoming film is ‘Bezubaan Ishq’ releasing on June 26.
