The houses, mansions and apartments of Bollywood stars define the word ‘grandeur’ better than the Oxford dictionary. Here’s a sneak peek into the abodes of some popular stars in Bollywood.
Shah Rukh Khan: His palatial house ‘Mannat’
in Bandra, Mumbai, has almost become a tourist spot. There are six floors each
catering to a different need. It has a private cinema, a library, a gym and a
few rooms for photo shoots. There is also a wall that is dedicated to Shah
Rukh’s awards over the years. He lives with his wife Gauri, two children and
sister Lala Rukh Khan.
Amitabh Bacchan: They own three houses Jalsa,
Prateeksha and Janak which are all located in the Juhu Scheme and at walking
distance from each other. The Bacchans initially used to stay in Jalsa but
after Abhishek Bacchan gained stardom they moved into the bigger Prateeksha.
Janak is used as an office.
Aishwarya Rai: Before moving into Prateeksha as the
Bacchan Bahu, she owned an apartment on the twelfth floor of the La Mer
building in Bandra. Ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is also an occupant of the
same building.
Rekha: Another Bandra resident, her house is
strikingly different from the others. Call her creative or a loner, she has her
house done up in the front with bamboos. This actress definitely loves her
privacy.
Deepika Padukone: She stays in a four bedroom spread with three
parking lots in the BeauMonde Towers near the Siddivinayak temple in
Prabhadevi, Mumbai. It is on the twenty sixth floor and is worth INR 16 crores.
This apartment has been rumored to have been gifted by her ex boyfriend
Siddharth Mallya.
Priyanka
Chopra: Her home was in the news due to wrong reasons last year.
She has a 5 apartment combined mega apartment at Versova. Recently in Twitter
she gave a sneak peek into her neat and clean house and her perfume collection.
Aamir
Khan: He stays in the Bella Vista apartments which are deep inside
a housing colony in Bandra. The house is not visible from the road.
Salman Khan: He stays in the Galaxy
apartments, Bandra, just a few places away from Mannat. He lives with his
parents Salim and Salma Khan , Sohail Khan and his wife and son, and his sister
Arpita. Arbaaz Khan and wife Malaika Arora live just a little distance away in
Khar.
John Abraham: He has a sea
facing apartment with a clean studio like interiors. Glass work is everywhere
including his bathroom. His bathroom is complete with a Jacuzzi and a shocking
130 inch screen to enjoy a match while relaxing in the Jacuzzi. A bachelor’s
paradise indeed.
Sonam Kapoor: She lives with her
father Anil Kapoor in Ville Parle, Mumbai. They also have another home in orange
County California which was bought when her brother Harshvardhan was studying
at a University there.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra: They own
the plush ‘Pinnacle of Dreams’ tower in Juhu, Mumbai. They throw lavish parties
here whenever they come to Mumbai. Raj Kundra has also gifted Shilpa a
luxurious apartment in Burj Khalifa, Dubai. In London, they have a
seven-bedroom apartment in Surrey, Greater London. This area has many other
celebrity homes to its credit. Some other properties include the one in Mayfair
and another one on the Oxford Street, London.
Saif and Kareena: They live in
together in a pent house in one of the tallest buildings of Bandra; most likely
because they want to avoid prying eyes hampering their privacy. They have also
purchased a little house in the mountains of Switzerland where they usually
head for a retreat.
