Cannes: Mallika Sherawat stuns in Georges Hobeika gown at opening ceremony

Mallika Sherawat provided the first Indian celebrity sighting at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. The ‘Murder’ actress walked the red carpet for the opening ceremony on Wednesday night, May 11.

Mallika was seen in a strapless Georges Hobeika Couture gown in white and solid blue. She teamed it with a diamond necklace and simple hair and make-up.

The actress is attending the event this year for her international film ‘Time Raiders’ (previously titled ‘The Lost Tomb’) directed by Hong Kong based director Daniel Lee.

Mallika has been a regular at the glamorous event. She made her Cannes debut in 2010 and ever since has been gracing the red carpet year after year.

Earlier in the day, she attended the photocall for her film ‘Time Raiders’ in a sea-blue and black outfit by Pucci. She posted a picture from the shoot on her Twitter timeline.

Over the next 11 days, other Indian actors like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Amy Jackson and Freida Pinto will saunter the red carpet.
