Indian actress Mallika Sherawat, who has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival, attended the opening night of the event on Wednesday, May 17. She looked ravishing in an embellished ivory trailed gown by Lebanese fashion designer Georges Hobeika.

The actress nailed her look with subtle curls and minimal make-up with a tinge of cherry lips. Her make-up was done by Dior. She accessorised with subtle jewels by French label Messika.

Mallika attended the screening of French film Les Fantomes d’Ismae (English title, Ismael’s Ghosts). She is representing International organization ‘Free A Girl’ this year. Last year also she marked her presence on the opening day, attending the event for her international film ‘Time Raiders’ directed by Hong Kong based director Daniel Lee.

She is the second Indian celebrity to be spotted at the event after Deepika Padukone. It is Mallika’s eighth appearance at Cannes. She made her debut on the red carpet in 2010 and ever since has been gracing the glamorous event year after year. During the initial years, fashion critics denounced Mallika's choices for fashion disasters, but for the past couple of years she has been wowing with her appearances.

Mallika, who currently stays in Los Angeles is known for her Bollywood movies like ‘Murder’, ‘Khwahish’ and ‘Dirty Politics’. The actress has been updating about her Cannes appearance on her social media account.
